London-based opportunity for an Aircraft Leasing Lawyer. Our client, a leading global aircraft leasing organisation based in London, is expanding its established legal team and is seeking to recruit an additional Counsel. This presents a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and talented lawyer to join a dynamic and highly respected in-house legal department.
This London-based role offers a prime chance to advance your career within the aviation leasing sector. Reporting directly to the General Counsel, you will work collaboratively within a supportive team of three additional experienced lawyers, gaining exposure to a broad range of complex and high-value transactions.
Ideal candidates will possess:
- 3-6 years Post-Qualification Experience: Experience gained in a large commercial law firm with a strong asset finance or aviation finance practice, or in an in-house legal team at another aircraft lessor, is essential.
- Strong Aviation Finance Knowledge: A solid understanding of legal issues pertaining to aircraft financing, operating leases, sales, acquisitions, and asset recovery is highly desirable. Experience with cross-border transactions and international legal principles in this area will be a significant advantage.
- Commercial Acumen: A commercially minded and solutions-oriented approach, with the ability to provide pragmatic legal advice that aligns with business objectives.
- Excellent Drafting and Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to draft clear, concise, and legally robust documents and to lead effective negotiations.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical skills with a meticulous attention to detail and the capacity to manage complex legal issues and mitigate risks.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication, collaboration, and influencing skills, capable of building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
