The Toolroom Supervisor is responsible for leading the Toolroom function, including managing a team of engineers, technicians, and apprentices. They will oversee the development of efficient maintenance practices, ensure tooling reliability, and support continuous improvement. Working cross-functionally with Production and Engineering teams, this role ensures that tooling and processes are safe, capable, and aligned with production demands.

In this role, you will:

  • Define and implement preventative maintenance programmes across all tooling types (Injection, Rotational, Extrusion, PU Casting).
  • Provide technical input to tooling design & improvement initiatives, CAD/CAM activities, and general machining support.
  • Attend tooling reviews and support new tooling introduction where needed.
  • Provide coaching, development, and performance oversight for toolroom personnel.
  • Uphold health, safety, and environmental standards, ensuring compliance and promoting a culture of safety.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience with injection mould tooling of varied complexities.
  • Familiarity with preventative maintenance strategies and fault diagnosis.
  • Competent in CAD/CAM systems.
  • Knowledge of hot runner systems and lifting equipment protocols.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
