Join our team as a Band 7 Cardiac Sonographer/Echocardiographer at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust.
About the Role
We are seeking a forward-thinking, enthusiastic professional to join our Cardio-Respiratory Units. These busy, expanding diagnostic units offer a wide range of investigations, including resting ECGs, 24-hour ECG and BP monitoring, Event Recording, Transthoracic, Transoesophageal, and Stress Echocardiography, Pacemaker follow-up, and Lung Function Testing. We have recently opened a Community Diagnostic Centre at Barking Hospital and plan to open another at St Georges Hospital in Hornchurch, providing community-based diagnostics.
Candidate Requirements
- Appropriate qualification with a highly specialist standard
- Experience at a senior grade with the ability to independently perform, interpret, and report Echocardiograms
- BSE Adult Transthoracic Accreditation or equivalent (consideration given to applicants without this qualification but with relevant experience; they may be recruited at Band 6 until competencies for Band 7 are met)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, effective Cardio-Respiratory investigation services
- Supervise and support junior staff members
- Organize and deliver responsibilities as allocated by the Lead Cardiac Physiologist
