We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Sustainability & Environmental Engineering Consultant to join our team in the UK. This role is critical for driving sustainable growth, establishing long-term partnerships, and delivering innovative and eco-conscious solutions to our clients. Role Overview: As a Business Development Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving our company\’s business growth. You will focus on identifying and securing new clients while ensuring that existing partnerships thrive. Your technical expertise, strategic mindset, and interpersonal skills will be essential in bridging the gap between business development and engineering. By understanding market trends and aligning our services to client needs, you will contribute directly to the company\’s success in a competitive industry. Key Responsibilities: 1.Business Development: Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities in line with the company\’s strategic objectives. Build and maintain a robust pipeline of potential clients and opportunities. Participate in networking events, industry conferences, and business expos to strengthen the company\’s presence. 2.Client Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with existing clients to foster trust and repeat business. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their expectations and requirements are met effectively. Proactively address client concerns and provide solutions to enhance satisfaction. 3.Strategic Planning & Market Analysis: Develop and implement comprehensive strategies to achieve short-term and long-term business objectives. Conduct in-depth market research to stay ahead of emerging industry trends, competitive landscapes, and client demands. Prepare detailed business proposals, reports, and presentations to communicate value propositions effectively. Work closely with project management and onsite teams to ensure smooth project execution and optimal client experience. Coordinate with design and engineering teams to ensure proposals align with client needs and technical feasibility. Provide valuable feedback and insights to internal teams based on client interactions. 5.Operational Excellence: Monitor and assess key performance metrics related to business development and client engagement. Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to optimize processes and enhance team performance. Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and standards. Qualifications & Experience: 1.Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline is required. A Master’s degree or additional certifications in sustainability, environmental engineering, or project management is highly advantageous. 2.Professional Experience: 3-5+ years of proven track record in business development, consultancy in sustainability and environmental engineering, or project management within related sectors. Demonstrated expertise in identifying, developing, and managing opportunities in engineering consultancy or sustainability-focused initiatives. 3.Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of engineering principles, project lifecycle management, and best practices in engineering consultancy methodologies. Familiarity with green technologies, sustainability frameworks, and environmental certifications (e.g., LEED, BREEAM) is a significant plus. 4.Skill Set: Strong proficiency in market research tools, CRM software, and business development strategies to effectively analyze data and identify growth opportunities. Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and build long-term relationships with diverse stakeholders. 5.Language Skills: Fluency in English is essential. Proficiency in Arabic is highly desirable and considered an asset in communicating with regional clients.
