My client is currently recruiting for a very experienced Operations Director who, if successful, will assume responsibility for the following areas:
- Management of sites both in the UK and Europe
- Providing strategic leadership and operational oversight
- Developing future strategies to fully achieve all operational and financial objectives
- Ensuring growth across all facilities
- Overseeing a high-performance culture and enabling continuous improvement
- Ensuring manufacturing excellence, supply chain efficiency, and strict adherence to all regulatory standards
- Managing P&L, budgets, and all related financial metrics
- Overseeing cost control measures and seeking margin improvements where possible
- Optimizing processes and procedures
- Driving forward ongoing improvements in efficiency and productivity
- Forecast management
The successful candidate will also be responsible for providing commercial leadership which will include:
- Developing, maintaining, and building relationships with global customers
- Identifying new business opportunities
- Providing overall leadership to 300 plus staff across various UK and Europe-based sites
- Staff recruitment and retention
To be considered for this position you will need to be able to demonstrate the following:
- The ability to commute to the Surrey-based offices at least three to four days a week
- Traveling to European-based manufacturing concerns
- Extensive previous experience as a senior leader in a manufacturing environment
- Multi-site operational experience
- Customer-centric approach
- Commercially astute
- Strong awareness and exposure to improvement methodologies
- Proven leadership skills, the ability to inspire and manage
