Consultant in Anaesthesia

Due to an exciting expansion of services, we are seeking to recruit 3 Consultant Anaesthetists to join our dynamic and growing anaesthesia team. About the Role We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic individuals with specialist interests in Perioperative Medicine, Airway, or Paediatrics. There will also be opportunities in Urology and Gynaecology, as well as upper and lower limb arthroplasty work. About Our Department We are a friendly and dynamic department with 84 Consultant Anaesthetists, 36 Specialty Doctors, Specialists, and 48 Trainees. We deliver a comprehensive anaesthetic service for University Hospitals of Derby and Burton and surrounding areas, providing a varied and fulfilling career. Our Achievements and Opportunities We are a motivated and supportive group, one of the first departments to achieve RCOA accreditation (ACSA), demonstrating our commitment to quality care and engagement with national projects. Applications from candidates in the process of submitting a CESR application, under consideration by the GMC within six months at the time of interview, will be considered. About UHDB UHDB is one of only 7 Trusts nationally with more than 50 operating theatres. Last year, we undertook nearly 33,700 planned surgical operations across 57 theatres, performing over 140 elective procedures daily across various specialties. Job Details The job plan will be agreed upon between the appointee and the Assistant Clinical Director, subject to review and mutual agreement in light of service requirements.
