This role is based within our Training and Competence (T&C) team at Sandringham Financial Partners, now part of M&G. Sandringham is one of the market leading independent national advice firms offering a fresh and innovative approach to financial advice. M&G as the parent company are one of the largest financial services companies in the world and FTSE100 mainstay, with a purpose of helping people manage and grow their savings and investments, responsibly. A key team within the business is our T&C team who help support 170+ advising partners within the Sandringham network. The role is full time, and the hours of work are Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm and the role is based in Head Office at Huddersfield town centre with potential for work from home opportunities once trained. Full training and exam help will be provided to the successful applicant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The primary responsibility is to provide a front-line response to inbound (telephone/email/ticket/chat) queries.
  • Contact is predominantly from Advising Partners but can include Head Office staff and very occasionally clients and providers.
  • A major part of the role will be using the internal communication system where you will:
  • Be the voice of Sandringham
  • Be the front-line person to answer inbound calls and emails, in line with our SLA's
  • Be able to answer a broad range of queries or refer queries to other departments where needed
  • Be able to assist Advisers with the use of internal systems

Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • We require someone with a positive attitude who is able to work in a team environment and is self-driven.
  • Excellent communication skills are a must as you will need to be comfortable and confident with dealing a broad range of personalities, and the ability to think on their feet.
  • There is a wide range of information to help the successful candidate resolve all manner of queries but we require someone who is able to self-learn and build their knowledge independently to know which information can help advisers at any one time.

  • Good communicator and able to take responsibility for timely responses
  • Confident to communicate over telephone, email and live chat
  • Able to be flexible in responding to the needs of our business and the Partners within the business
  • A positive can-do attitude
  • Willing to go above and beyond and exceed expectations
  • Ability to plan and prioritise own workload
  • Confidence and resilience to handle important conversations and a sometimes high frequency of calls

Required education and qualifications:

  • Experience of working in financial services
  • Experience of working within an office environment would be very beneficial
  • Some financial services qualifications (such as some CII regulated financial planning modules) is desired but not essential
