As a Trim and Final Engineer on our Industrial Placement, you’ll play a vital part in ensuring everything runs smoothly. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as production, quality, facilities, and maintenance, to create and implement solutions. From developing tooling solutions and processes to working directly with suppliers, you’ll ensure projects stay on track and are delivered on time. You’ll also contribute by developing processes using CAD designs for our cars and addressing manufacturing challenges directly on the shop floor.Â

What will you do
- Collaborate across departments: Work with teams in areas such as production, quality, R&D, facilities, and maintenance to ensure smooth operations.
- Implement tooling and processes: Ensure timely delivery and implementation of tools and facilities from suppliers.
- Develop CAD-based processes: Use CAD designs to create and optimise processes tooling and equipment for our vehicles.
- Hands-on problem solving: Address and resolve manufacturing challenges on the shop floor.
- Be proactive and take ownership: Actively participate and manage tasks independently, making key contributions to the team.
Qualifications
- Hands-on approach: You enjoy getting involved in the work and thrive on solving problems.
- Proactive and responsible: You take ownership of your tasks and manage your workload effectively.
- Team player: You’re comfortable working across different departments and collaborating with others.
- Problem solver: You’re confident in facing challenges and finding solutions on the go.
- Automotive or mechanical experience is a bonus but not essential.
- CAD knowledge is helpful but not required.
Why this job
- Salary: £24,400 per annum.
- Hours: 06:30 – 15:30 Monday – Thursday, and 06:30 – 11:30 Friday.
