We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Stock Controller / Inventory Administrator to join our client team. This role requires a mix of warehouse operations, stock investigations, and administrative duties to ensure smooth workflow and efficiency.
To maintain accurate stock levels and ensure high-quality inventory control within the warehouse. This role involves operating VNA (Very Narrow Aisle) and other MHE (Material Handling Equipment) to manage stock movements and storage efficiently. The Stock Controller also supports warehouse performance by investigating system discrepancies, analysing data from Dexory robot dashboards, and identifying process improvement opportunities.
Location: Magna Park in Lutterworth
Shift Patterns Available: Monday Friday: 08:00-16:30. Flexibility is highly desirable for this role.
Pay Rate: £14.42 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate VNA and other MHE equipment safely and efficiently to perform stock movements, stock checks and similar related activities towards stock.
- Conduct stock counts, cycle counts, and spot checks to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, system errors, and stock-related queries.
- Review and analyse data from Dexory robot dashboards to monitor stock positions and movement trends.
- Highlight anomalies, inefficiencies, or gaps in stock processes based on Dexory insights and propose corrective actions.
- Support stock control improvement initiatives by assisting with warehouse projects such as space optimisation, layout changes, and audits.
- Maintain accurate records of stock transactions in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure data integrity and process compliance.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety guidelines while operating all equipment.
- Report damaged or non-conforming stock and contribute to root cause analysis.
Requirements:
- Must-have: Valid licenses for VNA and relevant MHE (e.g., reach truck, counterbalance).
- Previous experience in stock control, warehouse operations, or inventory management.
- Familiarity with Dexory or other warehouse automation tools is a strong advantage.
- Proficiency in interpreting data dashboards and identifying process trends or gaps.
- Good understanding of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and handheld scanners.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving ability.
- Basic IT literacy (e.g., Excel, data entry, dashboard tools).
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
Preferred: Driving license (preferred but not required).
