As a Class 1 Relief / Tramper driver, you will be responsible for executing critical logistics operations for DPD. This role demands a high level of commitment and professionalism. Key responsibilities include: ● Execute bulk collections and deliveries between various DPD sites and customers nationwide, ensuring timely and accurate transportation of goods. ● Operate modern fleet vehicles on agreed shift patterns, adhering strictly to all safety protocols and regulations. ● Deliver palette loads to HGV-friendly locations, maintaining the highest standards of customer service and operational efficiency. ● Commit to a minimum of four nights per week away from base, demonstrating dedication to the role and flexibility in work arrangements. ● Utilize secure DPD locations for overnight stays in the vehicle, ensuring the safety of both the driver and the cargo. ● Cover a designated region surrounding the base depot, developing comprehensive knowledge of the area to optimize route planning and delivery efficiency. This position requires a strong sense of responsibility, excellent time management skills, and the ability to work independently while adhering to company policies and procedures. Essential Qualifications: ● Possession of a valid UK Class 1 Driving Licence is imperative for this role. ● A minimum of 12 months' verifiable Class 1 driving experience is mandatory. ● Current and valid UK Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) Card is a non-negotiable requirement. ● Possession of a valid UK Digital Tachograph Card is essential for legal compliance.
