Salary: GBP42,000 - GBP48,000 depending on experience
Hours: 48 hours a week, all shifts are 12-hour shifts (day shifts and night shifts, 7am-7pm and 7pm-7am)

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring safe and timely train movement
- Monitor and manage real-time services, responding quickly to any disruptions or incidents
- Communicate clearly and promptly with train crews, depots, and key stakeholders
- Handle and report accidents, incidents, and environmental issues in line with procedures
- Support locomotive and crew management, including shift changes and sickness cover
- Log operational data, delays, fuel levels, and train locations accurately
- Produce performance and delay reports
- Develop and implement service recovery plans when necessary
- Ensure effective shift handovers and maintain a high standard within the control room
- Assist with short-term staffing issues and escalation processes
- Liaise with maintenance teams to address locomotive performance concerns

- Confident communicator with the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Knowledge of UK rail network operations preferred
