RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Understand iPipeline processes and procedures used within Testing
- Develop and maintain an understanding of the functionality of SSG
- Create and execute test scripts appropriate to the methodology used in the project
- Record defects in the appropriate defect tracking software
- Participate in UAT, System Testing, Smoke Testing, Performance Testing, Integration Testing, Interface Testing and Regression Testing
- Support out of hours testing when required
- Create, execute and maintain automated tests
- Review test cases and scripts created by other members of the team
- Keep abreast of testing techniques and methodologies
Skills:
- At least 3-4 years’ experience of Investment and Protection products in a Tester role
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Ability to build constructive working relationships with colleagues and other teams within iPipeline
- Ability to self-manage time and workload
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven structured IT testing experience
- Hands-on with automated testing tools and techniques
- Basic understanding of SQLs
- Basic knowledge regarding API Testing
- Good understanding of Life and Pensions (New Business, Underwriting, Contract Servicing, Claims)
- Good understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle process including Agile and Waterfall
- Be aware of GDPR and security requirements.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
- ISTQB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing
- High motivation to learn new skills
