We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Gates and Auto Door Engineer to join a growing team, covering London and the South East. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with a strong background in the installation, maintenance, and repair of automated gates and door systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation, servicing, and fault-finding on a range of automated gates, barriers, and automatic door systems (swing, sliding, telescopic, etc.)
- Carrying out reactive repairs and planned maintenance visits across commercial and residential sites
- Diagnosing and resolving electrical and mechanical issues efficiently
- Ensuring all work complies with relevant health and safety standards and industry regulations
- Maintaining detailed records of work completed and liaising with the office team to ensure smooth job progression
- Providing excellent customer service on-site
Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar role (minimum 3 years preferred)
- Strong knowledge of gate automation and automatic door systems
- Valid CSCS card and full UK driving licence
- Relevant electrical or mechanical qualifications desirable (e.g. 17th/18th Edition, NVQ Level 2/3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering)
- IPAF, PASMA, or DHF qualifications are a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
