Theatre Manager - 12 Months Fixed Term Contract

The Princess Theatre is South Devon's largest regional theatre with a capacity of nearly 1,500 patrons. Opened on Wednesday 7th June 1963, it has hosted performances by Tommy Cooper, Morecambe & Wise, The Beatles, Sir Roger Moore, Joan Rivers, Billy Ocean, Paloma Faith, and comedians like Al Murray, Jimmy Carr, Russell Howard, and Katherine Ryan. We showcase the best West End and touring productions, along with a variety of performances including top-named comedians, musicals, local productions, one-night concerts, ballet, opera, and our annual pantomime. Our seasonal amenities include the Teatro café, ice cream hatch, and a restaurant for pre-theatre dining overlooking the Bay.
The Theatre Manager will be a key member of the Senior Management Team, reporting directly to the General Manager. You will collaborate with Heads of Departments such as Marketing, Ticketing, Customer Experience, Creative Learning, and Technical to deliver the Theatre's Business Plan and objectives. The role involves overseeing the entire operation of the venue, ensuring an impeccable experience for audience members, production staff, employees, and external stakeholders. Additionally, you will be responsible for risk management, ensuring safe and efficient venue operations.
