Base Location: For this role, we require successful applicants to be based from one of our Scottish locations - Inverness, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Perth.

The role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Coordinator to work within the SSEN Transmission Offshore Directorate team. SSEN Transmission is responsible for building and reinforcing the network infrastructure including connecting all Renewable Energy generated in the North of Scotland, islands and offshore to achieve NetZero. These fantastic opportunities to join a diverse & inclusive team have become available following continued growth and work on some of the most complex and innovative projects to ensure we deliver our NetZero ambitions. Here at SSEN Transmission we are committed to developing and supporting our team as we grow. Our portfolio of projects is already large and is likely to grow in the coming years, meaning there will likely be opportunities for progression within the business.
You will:
- Work closely with our Project Engineering team to assist in the successful delivery of several major projects across Scotland; managing the project accounts, raising purchase orders, making sure suppliers are paid on time and dealing with external supplier queries.
- Coordinate and prepare Project Engineering meetings, these will include Design Reviews, Design Risk Workshops and Engineering Team Progress meetings. Making sure these are scheduled, attended and minutes are recorded to a high quality. Organising all project reporting, making sure reports are produced on time and to a high-quality standard.
- Coordinate technical tasks, such as assisting the Engineers with Utility Searches and managing Symology requests, making sure that all timelines are met, and the data is accurately processed.
- Coordinate CDM Compliance Reviews for the Engineering team and assisting the Engineering team with general administration duties.
- Create and manage the financial lifecycle of requisitions and POs.
You have:
- Project experience working in a similar industry and proven ability to manage different stakeholders, sometimes with conflicting priorities.
- Vast experience in an administration role demonstrating the ability to prioritise tasks and work in the most effective way to meet deadlines.
- The ability to manage your workload and being flexible to deal with change.
- Experience in managing project finances would be very beneficial.
- A qualification or experience of working in an Engineering role or for an Engineering company.
