Pulse Healthcare is currently seeking a Band 6 Occupational Therapist in Hand Therapy to join our client’s team in Epsom, Surrey. The post is available to start as soon as possible, offering full-time hours for a short-term contract.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct activities of daily living (ADL) and functional assessments.
- Prepare detailed reports and undertake home visits to assess client needs.
- Liaise effectively with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) and collaborate closely with the Lead Occupational Therapist to support the development and implementation of individual care plans.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and training to enhance skills and knowledge in the field.
- Work with acute elective and trauma patients, as well as those with plastics and rheumatology conditions.
- Provide bespoke splints for patients, manage wounds, and remove stitches where necessary.
- Create personalised recovery and rehabilitation plans for a broad range of hand/wrist-related pathologies.
- Manage own caseload and work closely with the team.
Qualifications and Experiences:
- Be HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist.
- Hold a relevant qualification in Occupational Therapy.
- Must have experience as an Occupational Hand Therapist.
