An exciting opportunity to join a high-performing, internationally-focused team within a leading FMCG business. We are looking for a Category & Shopper Marketing Manager to take ownership of category strategy, shopper insights, and promotional performance across multiple markets and customers in Europe.
The Role
You will be the go-to expert for all things category development and shopper marketing - responsible for turning data into actionable strategies that drive commercial success across brands, distributors, and retailers. Collaborating closely with Sales, Marketing, and Regional teams, you’ll help shape plans that deliver real value at the shelf and online.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive category and shopper insight development using retail and distributor data (e.g., Nielsen, GfK, IQVIA)
- Support sales teams with customer strategies, trade plans, and post-promo evaluations
- Build compelling customer presentations and proposals for NPD and range reviews
- Align distributor plans with brand, category, and retailer priorities
- Lead the category agenda with key customers and support best-in-class execution
- Manage and optimise databases and tools for continuous insight delivery
- Work with regional and EU teams to champion the Customer Marketing function
About You
- Highly analytical with strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Experienced in turning data into creative retail solutions
- Knowledge of the European retail landscape and experience working with top-tier retailers (e.g., Carrefour, Rossmann, DM)
- Proven background in Category Management and Shopper Marketing (7+ years)
- Strong communicator, confident with stakeholders, and collaborative by nature
- Experience managing distributors across multiple countries is essential
- People management experience (minimum 3 years)
