The Door Access Control Engineer will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of door access control systems. This role requires a strong understanding of electronic security systems and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. This role will also include other installation work for the company, including but not limited to the installation of network infrastructure cabling (Cat5, Cat6, Cat6a etc.).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain door access control systems, including hardware and software components.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of access control systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to access control systems, including hardware malfunctions and software errors.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their security needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all installations and maintenance activities.
  • Provide training and support to clients on the use of access control systems.
  • Keep detailed records of installations, maintenance, and repairs.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in installing and maintaining door access control systems.
  • Strong knowledge of electronic security systems, including key card access, biometric systems, and intercom systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Experience with Verkada security systems is an advantage.

These roles will be travelling positions and travel anywhere within the UK could be required on a regular basis.
