Are you a skilled Field Service Technician looking for your next big opportunity? Do you want to work with cutting-edge Volvo Construction Equipment for an industry leader? CJD Equipment is hiring, and we want YOU on our team. You will be based at our Guildford workshop and required to work in various locations throughout the metro, with some regional work. This role is busy; however, if you are up to the challenge, it will provide you with the opportunity to build and develop your skills and knowledge whilst being supported by a large service department.
You will work on class-leading Volvo Construction Equipment, such as Wheel Loaders, Articulated Haulers, and Excavators. You will receive the latest and most up-to-date training and in-house product support on all the equipment we work with. An appropriate trade qualification is a must. Volvo Construction Equipment experience would be an advantage but not necessary.
Role requirements:
- Construction equipment technical knowledge, with the ability to work autonomously in the field.
- Carry out diagnosis and troubleshooting procedures relating to mechanical failures in a professional and timely manner.
- A passion for Safety.
- A passion for high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to write reports and keep daily records from the field.
- Above average skills with computer-based service diagnostic programs and parts catalogues.
Other skills required:
- Cert III Engineering – Fixed and Mobile Plant Mechanic or Cert III Mobile Plant Technology.
- Driver's Licence (HR preferred).
- Ability to communicate with customers respectfully and honestly.
- Well-organised and self-motivated.
- Availability after hours and some weekends (when and if required – penalty rates apply).
