A leading consultancy is seeking a senior leader to drive the delivery and expansion of services across a portfolio of nationally significant major projects. This is a unique opportunity to join a globally respected firm delivering complex, high-value programmes across transport, energy, defence, and infrastructure sectors. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping project outcomes and client relationships, with full accountability for time, cost, quality, safety, and stakeholder satisfaction across all lifecycle stages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction and delivery leadership across major, multi-disciplinary projects
  • Operate at programme and JV board level, representing the consultancy at the highest level
  • Inspire and manage large cross-functional teams, embedding a high-performance culture
  • Lead project execution from planning and design through to construction and handover
  • Build and sustain senior client relationships, ensuring alignment with evolving programme goals
  • Drive innovation, continuous improvement, and inclusive leadership across delivery
  • Support talent development and succession planning within the organisation

Key Skills & Experience

  • 20+ years’ experience leading complex engineering or infrastructure programmes
  • Chartered professional (e.g. ICE, APM, RIBA) with demonstrable UK sector knowledge
  • Strong background in development-phase leadership across advisory, partner, or design-led contracts
  • Deep understanding of full project lifecycle delivery, including regulatory and stakeholder engagement
  • Confident operating in politically sensitive and high-security environments
  • Committed to health, safety, wellbeing, sustainability, and inclusive team development
  • Eligible for UK National Security Vetting (CTC/SC clearance)
