What does this role involve?
You will be the driving force for performance and observability, providing intelligent, proactive monitoring tools to ensure end-to-end insight to our core services.
You will utilise a comprehensive toolset to provide monitoring, analytics, alerting, dashboards, and insights for maintaining the health and up-time of services across our traditional and cloud infrastructure.
You\’ll have skills and experience in observability tooling (such as Datadog, Grafana, Splunk or similar), delivering solutions in development, test and production environments, and of integrating systems and applications with monitoring and APM tools.
You will assist in scheduling and hosting regular training sessions to enable tool adoption and teach best practices.
You will work with service owners and development teams to integrate telemetry data with the observability platform and use it to create monitoring dashboards.
Who are we looking for?
Your in-depth experience using observability tools such as Datadog, Grafana, Splunk or similar, will allow you to hit the ground running.
Your commercial experience in using a comprehensive toolset to provide monitoring, analytics, alerting, dashboards, and insights for maintaining the health and up-time of services across our traditional and cloud infrastructure, will provide you with a solid base from which to grow.
Your background in scheduling, hosting training sessions and teaching best practices, will be fundamental to your success in this role.
Your ability to work with service owners and product teams to integrate telemetry data with an observability platform to create monitoring dashboards, will allow you to swiftly become a productive member of the team.
Any previous experience with OpenTelemetry would be advantageous.
To be successful in this role you will be required to pass an enhanced security vetting process.
