The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 Β£ per year.

Within the construction environment, responsibilities include buying materials, managing large projects, ensuring health and safety, and customer service. We work on approximately 400 developments across the UK, ranging from new builds on brownfield sites to adapting existing structures like factories or hospitals.

We seek individuals who bring fresh ideas and imagination, coupled with the ability to manage people, budgets, and costs. Our site managers have received more NHBC Pride in the Job Awards than any other housebuilder since 2004.

Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will oversee the construction of a development, including all pre and post housebuilding works, ensuring targets related to health and safety, programme delivery, quality, customer care, and costs are met.

You Will Be Expected To:

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, NHBC standards, building regulations, and quality standards on site.
  • Coordinate labour and resources to meet the build programme, scheduling trades proactively.
  • Manage material levels to optimize stock and ensure efficient employment of labour.
  • Maintain high standards of quality, adhering to NHBC Standards, Building Regulations, and specifications.
  • Conduct quality control inspections, rectify defects, and prevent delays or quality reductions.
  • Monitor and control production costs, approve payments to contractors and trades.
  • Attend inspections with local authorities or NHBC, and address any issues to minimize RI’s/BRI’s.
  • Lead toolbox talks and site briefings to promote best practices.
  • Proactively mitigate risks, optimize sequencing, and enhance overall site quality.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to ensure timely delivery.
  • Work with sales teams through regular meetings to ensure smooth handovers.
  • Maintain high standards of site presentation.
  • Conduct New Home Tours with sales advisors and customers, addressing questions and issues before legal completion.
  • Support the construction team with resources, clear responsibilities, training, and workload management.
  • Exemplify professionalism in health and safety, organization, conduct, quality, and overall behavior.
