This is an ideal opportunity for someone early in their finance career, eager to gain hands-on experience while working toward professional qualifications. What You’ll Be Doing: You’ll support the finance function with a variety of day-to-day tasks, including: Managing credit control, including following up on outstanding payments and maintaining regular contact with clients Processing purchase ledger transactions such as invoices, credit notes, and payments Handling sales ledger duties including invoice creation, credit notes, and customer receipts Reconciling and processing company credit card expenses Responding to internal and external finance-related queries Overseeing the finance team’s shared inbox and ensuring timely responses Collaborating with operations and other internal departments Supporting with general finance administration and ad hoc tasks as needed What We’re Looking For: Someone who is organised, detail-focused, and comfortable communicating with colleagues and clients at all levels A basic understanding of financial processes within a small business environment A genuine interest in building a finance career and studying towards a recognised qualification (such as AAT) What’s on Offer: Full-time, permanent role Starting salary: £18,000 – £22,000 (dependent on experience) Study support after probation, including day release to attend college 21 days annual leave plus bank holidays Company pension scheme Free on-site parking Seniority level Seniority level Entry level Employment type Employment type Full-time Job function Job function Management and Manufacturing Industries Staffing and Recruiting Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Absolute Recruit by 2x Sign in to set job alerts for “Account Assistant” roles.
