Job Title: Event Manager

Location: London

Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 per annum

Type: Full-time, Permanent

This well-established, family-run catering company has been creating bespoke weddings and private events since 1988. They are known for delivering exceptional service, creative menus and beautiful event experiences. With sustainability and local sourcing at the heart of their ethos, they work closely with trusted suppliers to create unforgettable food and moments for clients across London and the South East.

Role Overview

They are seeking an Event Manager to join their growing operations team. This hands-on position offers the chance to manage events end-to-end, from client liaison and planning through to on-site delivery. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring each event reflects the company’s reputation for detail, creativity and flawless service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage corporate and private events from enquiry through to completion, ensuring all aspects are delivered to the highest standard.
  • Carry out venue visits, prepare event plans, schedules and logistical requirements.
  • Coordinate staffing, suppliers, equipment and transport, ensuring everything is in place and on time.
  • Act as main client contact in the run-up to the event and on the day itself.
  • Oversee on-site event delivery: setup, service, guest experience and breakdown.
  • Ensure all events are compliant with Health & Safety, food safety and venue regulations.
  • Support post-event debriefs, feedback processes and identify opportunities for improvement.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in event or catering management (1+ years).
  • Strong organisational and logistical planning skills.
  • Excellent client-facing communication and relationship-building ability.
  • Calm under pressure with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Passion for food, sustainability and delivering memorable client experiences.
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required by event schedules.
