Are you looking for a dynamic, customer-focused role within a leading special purpose vehicle company? We are currently seeking a Service Controller to join our Preston-based team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a central role in a fast-paced service operation supporting specialist vehicles.

About the Role:

As a Service Controller, you’ll be the key interface between our customers and engineers—coordinating service requests, planning engineer workloads, and ensuring smooth operations across the board. You’ll help manage the day-to-day running of our service centre, using tools like SAP to drive efficiency and deliver outstanding customer support.

Your Core Responsibilities:

  • Handle and log customer service requests, taking full ownership from start to resolution.
  • Schedule daily engineer workloads and coordinate job planning.
  • Create job cards, raise notifications, and order required parts.
  • Manage machines on contract maintenance and update planners.
  • Ensure accurate job sheet processing and follow-up calls post-service.
  • Provide timely and professional communication with customers and team members.
  • Support onsite meetings and H&S initiatives.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in a service coordination or scheduling role (automotive/engineering background is a plus).
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • SAP or similar system experience (preferred, not essential).
  • A team player with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
