Altum Consulting are working with a leading media business to recruit an RTR Accountant based in Salford, Manchester. This role will be hybrid, with 3 days working in the office.
Responsibilities include:
- Deliver accurate balance sheet reconciliations and ensure integrity of financial reporting
- Prepare monthly revenue and cost of sales reconciliations, including related postings
- Reconcile stock and investigate aged/unreconciled balances
- Utilise reconciliation tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Perform daily, monthly, and year-end accounting activities
- Support internal and external audit requirements
- Participate in UAT testing for system enhancements and SaaS updates
- Collaborate with Finance Operations and RTR teams to resolve discrepancies
- Maintain and update process documentation and standard operating procedures
- Meet service delivery targets and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Contribute to automation and finance transformation efforts
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
- Manage priorities effectively and take ownership of personal development
As an RTR Accountant you will be/have:
- Qualified or Part-Qualified and actively studying for an accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA etc.)
- Experience in an RTR department, working in a similar role
- Experience with process automation & system improvements
- Proficient with reconciliation systems and ERP systems
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and communication skills
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach
