What will the Payroll Specialist role involve?
- Processing and managing day-to-day UK payroll for approximately 1,700 employees.
- Acting as a key point of contact for payroll queries and providing expert guidance on payroll legislation.
- Conducting secondary checks on all payroll input and managing arrears/off-cycle payments.
- Ensuring compliance with tax, NI, pension, and statutory payment regulations.
- Supporting year-end activities, including FPS, P60, P11D and PAYE Settlement Agreements.
- Playing a key role in upcoming payroll systems transitions and supporting related projects.
- Maintaining accurate employee records and reconciling payroll outputs.
Suitable Candidate for the Payroll Specialist vacancy:
- Proven experience running an in-house, end-to-end UK payroll.
- In-depth understanding of current payroll legislation and statutory payments.
- Confident in manual payroll calculations and secondary checks.
- Proficient in Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) and ideally familiar with Oracle and/or SAP.
