Be responsible for the delivery and development of the Musculoskeletal Outpatient Physiotherapy Services within Central London Community Health Care Trust (CLCH).
KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
- Regularly liaise with local GP’s and other health professionals regarding patient care and health promotion.
- Provide comprehensive discharge and clinical reports in a timely manner to referrers (such as GPs), patients, and other multi-disciplinary team members.
- Communicate effectively with patients and carers/families through verbal, non-verbal, and written means to maximize rehabilitation potential.
- Utilize negotiation, motivation, explanation, reassurance, and work with interpreters when required.
- Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and sensitivity while providing appropriate care based on patient needs.
- Collaborate with team members, including junior and senior staff.
- Maintain professionalism and be legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of your work, including patient management.
- Ensure high standards of clinical care and support peers.
- Provide an equitable service for all patients, including harder-to-reach groups.
- Undertake comprehensive patient assessments, using investigative and analytical skills.
- Recognize professional limitations and seek support through supervision, peer discussion, or team case reviews.
- Apply appropriate assessment and treatment techniques in line with evidence-based practice, guidelines, and policies, including manual handling and confidentiality.
- Show compassion, empathy, and sensitivity, especially when caring for patients with complex presentations, such as victims of torture or mental health issues.
- Triaging referrals to ensure suitability for the Musculoskeletal Outpatient Service according to triage guidelines.
