Duration: contract to run until 13/06/2025
Location: Birmingham, 70% remote, 30% onsite
Rate: up to £708.75 p/d Umbrella inside IR35

Role purpose / summary
The SolarWinds Architect/SME is responsible for integrating and potential implementation and/or configuration of the organization\’s SolarWinds environment. This role requires a strong understanding of SolarWinds and its various components, including network configuration, on-boarding network devices, troubleshooting and support.
The SolarWinds Architect/SME will work closely with other IT teams to ensure that SolarWinds is being used effectively to monitor and manage the IT infrastructure within a on-premises secure environment.
Key Skills/ requirements
- Strong understanding of SolarWinds and its various components (Network Performance Monitor, Server & Application Monitor)
- Extensive with SolarWinds installation, configuration and administration in an on-premises environment.
- Ability to design and implement custom SolarWinds monitoring template, alerts, reports and dashboards to meet specific design and business requirements.
- Expert in network monitoring protocols and system performance metrics.
- Excellent collaboration, communication and troubleshooting skills to address performance issues.
Desirable Skills:
- SolarWinds certification.
- Experience with other monitoring tools such as Virtualisation manager, storage resource monitor.
- Familiarity with Virtualisation technologies such as VMware VCF and storage systems.
- Ability to understand High Level and Low Level designs, whilst able to create and update documentations.
- Refine and improve build processes. Supporting and creating a trusted space for build SME’s.
- Ensure documentation and activities are tracked and allocated.
