This is a 12-month FTC. Hours: 9.30am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday, with additional hours when required. Location: Office based with some flexibility on 2-3 days. The main focus of this role is to support the Head of Risk and Compliance in delivering the firm’s regulatory and governance compliance, with an emphasis on data protection and security. Responsibilities include onboarding clients, conflict checking, and involvement in Risk projects, supporting the wider Risk & Compliance team. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of data compliance experience and broad compliance knowledge. Other responsibilities: Main contact for data and information security issues. Maintain data retention policies and information management processes. Report breaches, assess reporting requirements to regulators, and escalate issues to the Head of Department. Support client onboarding checks when necessary. Conduct conflict checks accurately and escalate as needed. Assist with research projects and AML regulatory compliance. This law firm provides legal services to a diverse client base across the UK and internationally. This is a maternity cover FTC, with working hours from 9.30am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday, with flexibility for hybrid working. Requirements: Experience in professional or financial services environments. Knowledge of Data Protection Authority and GDPR. Understanding of UK Money Laundering Regulations.
