We are partnered with a specialist SEN school in Peterborough, providing education and support for pupils aged 5-19 with a range of needs including autism spectrum conditions, moderate to severe learning difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health needs. The Role:
We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Art and DT Teacher to deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to pupils with diverse needs. The ideal candidate will be passionate about using creativity and practical learning to unlock students' potential and build their confidence and self-expression.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality Art and DT lessons tailored to meet individual learning needs
- Use a creative and flexible approach to engage pupils with varying abilities and learning styles
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and support staff to create a positive, structured classroom environment
- Contribute to curriculum development and school-wide art/DT projects and displays
- Track and assess progress, adapting teaching strategies as needed
- Support pupils' personal, social, and emotional development through creative activities
- Ensure a safe learning environment by following appropriate health and safety procedures
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Has experience teaching Art and/or Design Technology (experience in an SEN setting is an advantage but not essential)
- Is creative, patient, and adaptable, with excellent behaviour management skills
- Can build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families
- Is committed to inclusive education and supporting the needs of every learner
- Is enthusiastic about using visual arts and practical skills to inspire confidence and independence
