Job Description:

Prospero Teaching is looking for a hardworking Year 3 SEN Teaching Assistant in a primary school based in Newham, East London.

The school is a four-form primary with a supportive leadership team and a dynamic, inclusive learning environment committed to academic excellence and student success.

We seek a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to support students one-to-one, helping them thrive both in and out of the classroom.

This role is open to all qualified candidates passionate about education and student support. Prior SEN/LSA classroom experience is preferred but not required.

Contract/Position Details:

• Location: Newham, East London
• Position: Year 3 SEN Teaching Assistant
• Type of work: One-to-one support, student assessment, lesson planning/activities, test invigilation
• Start date: September 2025
• Duration: 1 term, with possible extension
• End date: End of term 1
• Contract type: Temporary
• Full-time
• Pay rate: Depending on pay scale
• Hours: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday (term time only)

Experience, Training, and Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year experience in LSA/SEN work for KS1 or KS2 preferred but not required
• Up-to-date safeguarding training issued in the past year
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

Eligibility:

• Valid right to work in the UK
• Enhanced child barred list DBS and enrollment or willingness to enroll in the DBS update service
