Senior Accounts Payable Clerk\\n\\n Location: Central Manchester + Hybrid\\n Salary: £28,000 – £32,000\\n\\n Axon Moore is delighted to be partnering with a high growth business as they look to appoint a Senior Accounts Payable Clerk to join their established finance team. This is a hands-on newly created role with real responsibility and visibility, ideal for someone who’s confident managing the full AP process and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.\\n\\n You'll play a key part in the day-to-day function of the AP team, with the opportunity to contribute to ongoing systems improvements and process change, including the roll out of a Purchase Order system.\\n\\n Key Responsibilities:\\n\\nManage the end-to-end Accounts Payable process — including invoice receipt, coding, approvals, payment runs, and reconciliations\\nProactively engage with suppliers to chase outstanding statements and maintain accurate, up-to-date accounts\\nInvestigate and resolve supplier queries, working cross-functionally to clear aged balances and discrepancies\\nCarry out regular checks for duplicate invoices or supplier accounts, ensuring ledger accuracy and integrity\\nSupport the implementation of a new Purchase Order system, liaising with suppliers and internal teams to embed process changes smoothly\\nProcess a high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently, in line with company policies and supplier terms\\nAssist with month-end close activities\\n \\nPerson specification:\\n\\nStrong experience in Accounts Payable, ideally in a high-volume, multi-entity environment\\nExcellent attention to detail, with the ability to manage and prioritise workload independently\\nConfident communicator, able to build strong working relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders\\nComfortable working with finance systems and Excel; prior experience in PO roll outs is a bonus\\nProactive, solution-focused mindset and a genuine interest in improving processes\\nThis is a great opportunity for someone looking to take ownership of their role, work within a collaborative finance team, and play a key part in systems and process improvement
