ROLE

Job Purpose

The role is responsible for and is the Technical Lead for all site, customer specifications and labelling requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • To complete accurate customer and Company format specifications (these may be electronic or manual) in a timely manner and ensure signed copies are maintained, specifications are reviewed at required timescales, completed in accordance with COP’s.
  • Review and sign off Company format and Customer Artwork, ensures that new labels are set up and approved.
  • Manages online customer Portals, ensuring all alerts have been responded and all Customer Codes of Practice have been reviewed by the Technical and NPD Managers.
  • Ensures factory specifications and labels for pre-pro and launches are promptly prepared and issued, in accordance with Document Control procedures.
  • Issue and control recipes, process and packing specifications for use by manufacturing teams in accordance with Document Control Procedures.
  • To be actively involved in customer and third party audits.
  • Deputise for the Food Technologist in their absence.
  • Manage Junior Specifications Technologist, support and guidance during continuing development.

CANDIDATE

You will have previous experience writing specs within the Food Manufacturing sector, coupled with an outgoing personality! A Degree in a Food Science Discipline or equivalent would be desirable.
