This is a site-based role in Surrey where you’ll be embedded in the heart of operations, working closely with both finance and ops leaders to deliver clarity, control, and commercial insight. You’ll be the go-to person for all things financial across the contract - owning the numbers, strengthening the client relationship, and shaping decisions that drive performance. This isn’t a back-office finance role - it’s hands-on, forward-facing, and pivotal to the contract’s continued success.

You’ll partner with operational teams and senior stakeholders to improve margins, manage risk, and drive efficiency. If you’re confident presenting to clients, comfortable managing full P&L responsibility, and ready to influence strategic decisions with robust financial insight, this is a role where you’ll genuinely make an impact.

WISH LIST
  • Commercially sharp finance experience - You’ve managed P&Ls, delivered meaningful analysis, and partnered with operational teams to drive performance.
  • Client-facing confidence - You’re comfortable presenting financials to senior stakeholders, building trust, and influencing decisions with data.
  • Hands-on mindset - You enjoy being close to the action, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves to make things happen.
THE ROLE
  • Take ownership of day-to-day financial performance, including full P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting.
  • Collaborate closely with operations to maintain financial accuracy, manage costs, and identify opportunities for efficiency.
  • Deliver clear, actionable financial insights to key stakeholders, supporting transparency and trust in financial reporting.
  • Monitor financial risks and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Lead on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support informed decision-making.
  • Maintain strong cash flow and credit control processes, addressing any challenges proactively.
  • Work cross-functionally to uncover and deliver opportunities that enhance overall financial performance.
  • Liaise with commercial teams to address cost pressures and support ongoing improvement initiatives.
  • Drive margin improvement by analysing performance drivers such as sales mix and stock management.
  • Provide detailed analysis and financial modelling to support strategic planning and future growth initiatives.
  • Continuously review and enhance financial processes, controls, and reporting frameworks.
  • Champion financial governance and ensure consistency with group policies and industry best practices.
  • Support senior leaders with insight and analysis that underpins key business changes and performance enhancements.
  • Present financial data and insights clearly and confidently in stakeholder-facing environments.
YOUR PROFILE
  • End-to-end financial ownership - Proven experience managing full P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting, ideally within a fast-paced, contract-based or operationally complex environment.
  • Strong commercial acumen - Ability to interpret financial data, drive margin improvements, and support decision-making through budgeting, forecasting, and detailed analysis.
  • Operational finance partnership - Comfortable working closely with non-finance teams (e.g. operations or site leads) to improve performance, challenge costs, and identify efficiency gains.
  • Client/stakeholder confidence - Skilled at presenting financials and building trust with senior stakeholders, whether internal or external, with a focus on clarity and impact.
  • Process and systems mindset - A hands-on operator with a track record of improving financial controls, reporting processes, and leveraging systems (e.g. Excel, ERP tools) to enhance accuracy and insight.
