This role is working for a very well-established and respected manufacturer that supplies to UK retailers and foodservice markets, as well as further food manufacturing. Always at the forefront of product development and innovation, they have continually invested in new facilities and the latest technologies.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent food graduate with at least one year of NPD experience to join a dynamic, innovative, and friendly food product development team. They have several exciting projects in the pipeline, and this role offers the chance to collaborate closely with major food retailers. You will play a key role in the NPD process, guiding projects from initial concept through to successful launch.
Key tasks:
- Develop ideas, create recipes, source new materials, and write product specifications.
- Collaborate with production teams; attend customer presentations, project meetings, and factory trials.
- Conduct shelf-life assessments, quality taste panels, and contribute to idea generation.
- Liaise with customers and carry out application work, ensuring cleanliness and good housekeeping in all work areas.
About You:
The successful candidate shall be a recent food science graduate (or similar relevance) with one yearβs experience in NPD - could be a placement. A high passion for food and flavours with an open approach to innovation, processes, and concepts.

This role is paying Β£28,000 - Β£32,000 dependent on experience. The site is in Kent and is commutable from Sevenoaks, Maidstone, Tunbridge Wells, Orpington, Croydon, Reigate and East Grinstead (Kent & South London). The company are closed between Christmas and New Year and contribute to your pension at a rate of 5.5%. Holiday allowance is 33 days (FTE, bank holidays included). This role is full time, 8:00am β 5:00pm and there can be some regular home working involved, 2 days per week once established in the role.
