We are currently looking for a skilled Fire Alarm Installation Engineer to support ongoing Whitbread hotel projects (Premier Inn sites) across the M25 region. This is a 3-month rolling subcontract opportunity, with work scheduled on a flexible as-and-when-required basis. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Protec and Advanced fire alarm systems, with a preference for engineers who are proactive, reliable, and used to working on hotel/commercial sites.
This role is ideal for a dependable subcontractor looking for consistent, well-scoped installation work—starting with smaller tasks and with scope to expand based on performance and project pipeline.
Key Responsibilities- Installation and commissioning of fire alarm systems (mainly Protec, Advanced, and Hyfire)
- Support follow-on works from initial installs (typically ranging 1–7 days)
- Carry out small-scale installation works and rectification tasks
- Complete all associated site paperwork and reports to a high standard
- Collaborate with Whitbread’s internal teams and site contacts
- Work independently and represent the company professionally on-site
- Proven experience installing and commissioning Protec and Advanced fire alarm systems
- Experience working on hotel or similar commercial sites
- Ability to work off scope and communicate with main contractors/client teams
- Full tool kit and driving license
- CSCS/ECS card
- Preferably able to quote for works on a fixed/day rate basis
- All equipment and materials will be supplied on-site
- Site Hours: 08:30 – 17:00
- Overtime and weekend work available (paid at time-and-a-half)
- Interview via Microsoft Teams with the project lead
