We are seeking a level 3 qualified Plumber to join our team at HMP Leyhill, a Category D Adult Male open prison. HMP Leyhill operates like a self-contained city, requiring hundreds of staff to ensure its functioning. Our Facilities Maintenance Team is committed to maintaining smooth and safe operations, impacting prisoners, staff, visitors, and the wider community.
As a Plumber, you will work alongside experienced colleagues including Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners, and Administrators, all dedicated to providing a safe and secure environment. We are a Ministry of Justice business providing critical, time-sensitive services to HMPPS, seeking a Plumber with:
- Plumber qualifications to C&G 6035, C&G 6189, and NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing
- Experience in commercial maintenance and installation
- Knowledge of Water Supply Regulations and Legionella L8 requirements
- Experience in reactive maintenance, fault finding, installations, testing, and commissioning
- An honest, conscientious character with a calm and positive attitude
- Availability to work 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday
