Our client, a well established, award winning, specialist civil engineering contractor, are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor, on a part time basis, to join the team in the West Midlands. The company provide structural refurbishment within multiple sectors including clean water.
The role involves supporting the business in developing, checking and enforcing policies and procedures to control critical safety risks. You will also be responsible for safety audits and inspections across our UK-based sites, identifying opportunities for improvement while engaging with staff across all levels of the business. You’ll work a mixture of from home, from the new offices in Birmingham and on site.
Requirements:
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification.
- Demonstrate proficiency in analysing and interpreting data, with a keen attention to detail, combined with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and presenting where needed.
- Knowledge of UK health and safety legislation.
- Full driving license.
- Previous background working for civil engineering contractor, preferably within the water industry.
- Seven Trent framework experience beneficial.
