What you will need to be successful Your Personal Support Worker Certificate or valid certification as a Home Support Worker, Home Support Worker Level II or III, Health Care Aide, or personal attendant Students enrolled (post first year) in health care programs such as nursing, rehab, paramedicine, or those with a valid certificate as a Developmental Support Worker, RN, RPN, Practical Nurse, midwife, or internationally trained physician Current CPR and First Aid Certification A recent Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening Proof of a negative TB test within the last 12 months and an up-to-date immunization record Ability to travel within the community in Port Perry Commitment to work every other weekend Strong verbal and written English communication skills; French or other languages are assets Reliability and strong organizational skills Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. (16 kg) safely Valid driver’s license and access to own vehicle Your role As a caring health care team member, you will support clients to be safe and independent at home, providing personal care, assisting with mobility and light exercises, and observing/reporting any changes in their condition.
