Quest Employment is hiring a Retail Store Manager for our client based in Solihull. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of customer service, stock management, and store presentation while supporting the day-to-day running of the shop alongside our friendly team.
Duties
- Keeping the shop fully stocked with fresh items produced in our kitchen and butchery
- Rotating stock daily to minimise wastage and maintain product quality
- Placing stock orders via our internal ordering system
- Taking and processing customer orders, both in person and over the phone
- Maintaining a clean, well-presented store environment at all times
- Handling customer queries and providing a welcoming, helpful service
- Coordinating daily tasks with the person working on the till
- Replying to our amazing online reviews when all other tasks are complete, helping us stay connected with our loyal community
- Monitoring stock levels, wastage, and reporting figures to the Head of Retail
- Supporting seasonal promotions, new product launches, and merchandising displays
- Sharing your ideas to help improve how we run the shop and serve our customers
Working Days & Hours
- Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday: 07:00 am - 04:00 pm
- Sunday: 09:00 am - 03:00 pm
Requirements
- Experience in a retail or food service environment, ideally within a farm shop, deli, or independent retailer
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage daily shop operations independently
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable attitude
- Confidence in handling stock orders, rotation, and basic admin duties
- Enthusiasm for working in a local, independent business with a loyal community following
- An interest in food, local produce, and high-quality service
