We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading residential children's care provider, for Residential Therapeutic Care Workers and Team Leaders to join their dedicated team in Newark. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of vulnerable children, working in a therapeutic care setting.
About the Role:
As a Residential Therapeutic Care Worker, you'll be part of a compassionate and supportive team, working closely to provide high-quality care to children in a residential setting. Every day is varied, offering you the chance to engage with children and help meet their individual needs. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing personal care and support within a homely environment.
- Assisting with day-to-day tasks such as cooking, cleaning, homework, and driving children to school.
- Managing medication and accompanying children to health appointments.
- Collaborating with the wider team to update care plans, conduct risk assessments, and complete thorough handovers.
- Planning and delivering activities and events tailored to each child's interests, whether it's a birthday celebration or an exciting day out.
Our client understands that children can sometimes become emotionally dysregulated, and you'll be provided with all the necessary training, including Team Teach behaviour management and de-escalation techniques. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to complete a Level 4 Diploma in Children and Young People's Workforce, alongside in-house therapeutic training from the clinical team.

Our client is looking for individuals with a genuine passion for working with children and young people. You should have a caring and flexible approach, with the ability to work as part of a team. Previous experience in residential care is a bonus, but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Please note, for the Team Leader roles it is a requirement to have a Level 3/4 qualification in Residential children's care or equivalent.
