Why Fulkers Bailey Russell?

About The Role

Our Quantity Surveying Directors are technical specialists and role models for our Quantity Surveyors, with a dual purpose:

  • Reviewing any and all key project documentation in your field before they are issued to clients, to keep consistency and high standards, spotting any inaccuracies and guiding staff through their rectification for learning.
  • Working in conjunction with the Managing Director and Client Directors on strategy generation and implementation wherever your specialist skills are required to better facilitate a multi-disciplinary approach or if it is specifically Quantity Surveying.
  • Providing leadership guidance on utilisation of Quantity Surveying resources for new projects as well as across existing projects, using your expert knowledge within the field to monitor utilisation, assess efficiency, identify issues and make recommendations for improvements and optimisation.
  • Acting as primary commercial/quantity surveying contact for key clients and Client Directors, providing service delivery and establishing yourself as a key stakeholder and the first point of contact for commercial Quantity Surveying expertise at the most senior level.
  • Collaborating with the Managing Director and Client Directors to secure new business/clients as well as new opportunities within existing clients; this will require an understanding of the capabilities of the other disciplines in the sector.
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement of people, processes, and systems relating to your discipline to aid in the growth and evolution of the business in line with market/client needs.
  • Acting as an expert and specialist role model for all quantity surveyors while leading them on projects. Demonstrating best practice, constantly optimising, and adhering to governance and policies whilst embedding an attitude of wider business collaboration, to instil the right behaviours.
  • Always take personal responsibility for the health and safety of self and others by working within the Health and Safety policy and procedures.
  • Endeavour to improve our social and environmental impact.
  • Any other duties as reasonably required of the role.
