We’re looking for an experienced events sales extraordinaire for a reactive sales role at our bustling airport hotel, Hilton – Heathrow Terminal 5.

A day in the life of… As Groups, Conference, and Events Manager, you’ll use your experience within an events environment to ensure the smooth running of the M&E Sales operation daily. You’ll be a first-class representative for customer care: promoting efficiency, confidence, and courtesy within the hotel at all times. You’ll work with the whole commercial team to develop a proactive up-selling culture within the Meeting & Events team to maximize sales. As the face of the hotel for current and potential clients, you’ll actively promote and sell the hotel facilities through client show-rounds and familiarization events. As manager of the Meetings and Events sales department, you’ll recruit, induct, and support the team to ensure maximum profitability and a first-class guest experience, meeting and exceeding Hilton and hotel standards.
What do we need from you?
- Extensive managerial experience in a similar role, with a degree in hospitality or a related field preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients, suppliers, and other hotel departments, using various mediums such as email, phone, and face-to-face meetings.
- Leadership abilities to motivate, develop, and evaluate staff to ensure high performance and customer satisfaction.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills to manage multiple events simultaneously and ensure that all aspects of events are well-coordinated and executed to a high standard.
- Sales and marketing experience, financial management skills, attention to detail, a passion for customer service, and technical skills.
