A leading UK consultancy is growing a boutique sustainability practice and looking for an experienced Carbon Advisory Manager to join the team. This is a managerial role, leading teams and working with a wide range of clients to help them measure, report, and reduce their carbon emissions—and ultimately support their transition to net zero.
The team works closely with ambitious, high-growth businesses and is known for delivering practical, high-quality advice that makes a measurable difference. You’ll be joining at a time of real momentum, with the chance to shape projects, contribute to growth, and play a key role in developing internal capability.
In this role, you’ll:
- Lead complex client engagements across carbon accounting (Scopes 1–3), carbon strategy, and climate risk
- Apply standards such as the GHG Protocol to deliver robust, decision-useful insights
- Develop net zero roadmaps, transition plans, and focused reduction strategies
- Support learning and development initiatives to build internal expertise
- Contribute to business development and thought leadership
What we’re looking for:
- Strong technical grounding in carbon measurement and reporting
- Track record delivering carbon reduction plans or climate risk assessments
- Clear understanding of the GHG Protocol and relevant UK/EU regulations
- Confident communicator—comfortable turning complex data into clear, practical advice
- Ideally, experience with ESG data platforms and managing small teams
Why join?
- A purpose-driven firm where sustainability is a core priority
- The opportunity to work with a wide range of forward-thinking businesses
- Real scope to grow, shape your role, and make an impact
- Hybrid working and flexibility built in from the start
This is a small and discreet team able leverage the brand and relationships of the wider firm while maintaining an innovative, family feel. The real pull of this role is the people, from the experienced, people-focused leadership to talented, open and friendly colleagues. The role is hybrid and can be based from most UK cities.
