Due to ongoing expansion, my client is currently looking to recruit a Legal Secretary/Legal Assistant to join their Family and Litigation Department in Slough, Berkshire. My client is a leading firm of solicitors with 70+ employees across several offices covering the home counties and London.

It is desired that the successful candidate will have experience in working in either a litigation or family department and have the experience and desire to assist the department. The ideal candidate for this role must have the following:

  • 1+ years’ experience of working in a family or litigation Law Department

The successful Legal Secretary/Legal Assistant will undertake duties including but not limited to:

  • Assisting solicitors in the Family and Litigation department
  • Creating bundles
  • Typing correspondence
  • Diary Management
  • Audio typing & word processing through Digital Dictation
  • Administrative duties
  • Filing
  • Photocopying
  • Assisting other members of the department as required
  • Presentation of correspondence and documents
  • Liaising with Clients and other parties
  • Covering reception during holiday
  • Opening and scanning post
