Our client, a respected manufacturer and proud member of a larger group, is seeking a proactive SHE Manager to lead their Safety, Health, and Environmental policies on site, while driving forward a dynamic sustainability strategy. The Role:
- Oversee the Environmental and Health & Safety Management Systems, ensuring compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
- Lead accident and near-miss investigations and develop initiatives to improve safety performance across the business.
- Engage with regulatory authorities and external stakeholders, acting as the main point of contact for SHE matters.
- Drive the company’s sustainability programme, embedding responsible practices into daily operations.
- Support internal teams with expert SHE advice, training, and continuous improvement strategies.
- Manage SHE budgets and identify innovations that reduce waste, improve efficiency, and deliver value.
What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
- Recognised environmental or health & safety qualification (e.g. IEMA, NEBOSH).
- Proven experience managing ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 (or OHSAS 18001) systems.
- Strong understanding of SHE legislation, audit processes, and risk management.
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels.
Desirable:
- Environmental Permit Operator’s Competence (NVQ).
- Internal Auditor qualification.
