Are you passionate about manufacturing processes and love being the go-to expert on the production floor? You will be the Shift Specialist - someone who knows the process inside out as well as being able to transfer in new processes, loves sharing knowledge, and plays a key part in bridging technology and operations. This is a hands-on technical role where you'll support production activities, help drive continuous improvement, and train others in best practices - ensuring the highest standards for quality, safety & targets are met every day in line with GMP.

You will have the opportunity to broaden your skill set with exposure to both technical and operational aspects of the business as well as being able to grow your career. On a day to day basis you will:

  • Monitor and Support Production Activities - Operate and supervise the introduction of new manufacturing processes & products, ensuring targets are met while maintaining full compliance with GMP standards.
  • Act as a Technical Link - Communicate clearly between the production team, technical teams, and management - keeping everyone aligned on the plant status and operational needs.
  • Train and Share Expertise - Support the development of team members by delivering practical, hands-on training in manufacturing processes and systems.
  • Quality, Safety & Continuous Improvement - Promote a culture of high standards, enter improvement ideas, and support audits by ensuring documentation and practices are consistently excellent.
  • Stay Hands-On - Maintain your own operational skills by directly working on the system - staying connected to the process and setting the standard.

What do we need from you?

  • Ideally degree qualified in chemical or process engineering
  • Solid experience in a production or process environment within industry (chemical manufacturing or continuous manufacturing experience a plus)
  • Demonstrable industry experience of pilot plant, NPI or scale up processes
  • Strong understanding of GMP, HSE standards, and quality compliance
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels of stakeholders

This is working on a weekly shift rotation over 3 shifts, Monday to Friday, covering 6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm, 10pm - 6am.
