Job Overview
Carlsberg Britvic is seeking a dynamic and driven Commercial Accountant Analyst - International to join our team in the Food & Beverages industry. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the accounting and reporting of trade investment spends across all routes to market. You will play a crucial role in period-end activities, financial reporting, business partnering, balance sheet management, audits, and supporting projects and system upgrades.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the preparation of robust and timely period-end accounts for Promotional Discounts (PD), Account Development Fund (ADF), and Long Term Discounts (LTD) in line with group timelines.
- Prepare reconciliations, create periodic reports, and ensure period-end reconciliations are prepared for all investment spend balance sheet accounts.
- Process journals when required and support the resolution of system issues impacting LTD, PD & ADF.
- Reconcile to the GB MIP to a trading contribution level by customer and manage error logs for interfacing Kantar to SAP.
- Support the Team Leader in delivering training to drive process compliance and best practices to the commercial functions.
- Provide financial support and guidance to Commercial teams and ensure the channel finance team achieves their deliverables.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance efficiency and control.
- Prepare and provide all necessary material for external audits related to investment spend in GB.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required
- Good understanding of financial & accounting principles.
- Proficient in Excel, with minimum knowledge of SUMIFS, VLOOKUPS, and PIVOT tables.
- Excellent communication skills – able to clearly articulate finance concepts to non-finance colleagues.
- Experience with MS Office, SAC, Kantar, and SAP R3 systems.
- Proactive and personable communication style.
- Ability to identify issues and problem-solve through to resolution.
- Disciplined and organized approach.
- Background in FMCG (retailer or manufacturer) is preferable.
Qualifications
- Part Qualified & actively studying (other financial qualifications will also be considered).
