We’re seeking a passionate Senior Early Years Practitioner to join our dedicated team at Hopscotch’s Portswood setting. In this key role, you will support the Room Leader in Pre-school room, inspiring and leading a committed childcare team to nurture and develop children’s learning and growth. Requirements: Minimum Level 3 Early Years Qualification
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Room Leader and team to plan age-appropriate activities aligned with EYFS guidelines.
- Assist in maintaining, cleaning, and ensuring the safety of all toys and equipment, reporting any concerns promptly.
- Be a reliable, responsible, and flexible team member committed to delivering outstanding childcare.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child’s development, encouraging their active involvement.
- Create a stimulating, creative, and welcoming environment for children.
- Complete all company documentation accurately and follow policies and procedures diligently.
- Report any breaches of company policy promptly.
Additional Details:
- Full-time role, Monday to Friday, 52 weeks per year
- Starting salary: £28,828.80 per annum
- Portswood nursery employees receive an additional £0.30 per hour as a location weighting (included in advertised salary, subject to terms and conditions).
